I was the sole designer and developer of the following websites (all are listed on http://www.davekeen.com):
  • Hobby review for Plastic Soldier Review, discussing various products and providing hobby news (ASP.NET 2.0 (VB) / SQL Server 2005, XML, Crystal Reports, Javascript).
  • Brochure for Tipis of the Forest, promoting campsite facility (ASP.NET 2.0 (VB) and SQL Server 2005).
  • Dealer catalogue for Harfields, listing all stock with item details (ASP.NET 2.0 (C#), SQL Server 2005)
  • Attendance monitoring for Red Purse, allowing individuals to indicate their attendance or otherwise of an event (ASP.NET 2.0 (VB) and SQL Server 2005).
  • Company profile for TRG Law, showing areas of expertise and news on judgements (HTML).
  • Manufacturer catalogue for Strelets*R, showing all products with full details (HTML).
I have also written a number of small WinForms systems in VB.Net and C# based on a SQL Server 2000 or 2005 database.

I wrote many XSL routines to take data in XML format and produce new XML files, plus routines written in XSL:FO to produce forms in PDF format.
 
Generator Systems Ltd
Feb 07 - Dec 07 Contract Analyst Programmer.
I developed a number of tools (both Client/Server and Web) to support the principal company product, a timeshare presentation system. For most of the tools I was the sole support and development analyst. Major pieces of work included a web-based reporting services package (ASP.NET 2/SQL 2005), a number of routines to populate a complex SQL Server 2005 database from multiple sources including Access, XML, Excel and CSV files. (VB.NET 2/C#/SQL 2005) and a Windows service while automatically compiled and backed up a large project made up of C# and Flash elements, utilising VSS and Subversion. (VB.NET/SQL 2005).

Jun 99 - Mar 05 Contract Analyst Programmer.
I was the sole support and development analyst and programmer for over 30 systems, of which the major ones were an emergency Foot and Mouth Disease monitoring system (VB 6), an IT resource allocation, time reconciliation, cost monitoring & report system (VB 6), a FOI request monitoring system (VB 6/SQL) and a Horticulture Inspectorate risk assessment and work allocation system (VB 6/SQL).
 
RBS Trust Bank (Royal Bank of Scotland)
Mar 99 - May 99 Contract Analyst Programmer.
This contract involved auditing and amending a system which controlled valuations of Unit Trust Funds to ensure Millennium compliance (FoxPro 2.6).

Jul 98 - Jan 99 Contract Analyst Programmer.
This contract involved maintaining and enhancing two systems (FoxPro 2.6) which controlled a set of requirements from the Ministry of Defence for the design and construction of a new class of nuclear submarine.

Dec 97 - Apr 98 Contract Analyst Programmer.
This contract involved analysing and programming three new systems (FoxPro 2.6) to replace SMART systems that monitored disease in poultry and research licences. Also several existing systems were tested, amended and certified for millennium compliance.

This contract involved programming amendments and additions to a very large FoxPro for Mac system for recording and controlling multi-million dollar currency transactions in dealing rooms worldwide, including adding Euro functionality.
